Look Who’s Blogging – Fortune 500 Corporate Blogs

The good folks at Socialtext report that 40 out of the Fortune 500 companies have corporate blogs.

I had a quick peak out of curiosity at a handful of corporate blogs on the list. When you think of corporate blogs / social responsibility blogs, the danger is falling into one-way conversation that nobody cares about. But geeky/techie blogs like Sun Microsystems, news blogs like the Chicago Tribune blog and surprisingly the General Motors blog have succeeded in attracting thoughtful discussion with the community.



  1. Working in a world where this sort of thing is suggested to companies like this all the time it’s very nice to see a few sites breaking away from using this as a publicity/SEO device and actually communicating with people. That *can’t* be so hard, can it?

  2. We currently are collecting data from companies across Canada who are using blogs – if you happen to know of any feel free to ask if they’d complete the survey –
